Caring for others has always been at the heart of who Amanda is, but her journey became deeply personal through her mother, Anne. Anne lived with dementia for more than a decade before passing away in 2019, and walking alongside her through those years changed Amanda forever.

Through that experience, Amanda witnessed firsthand both the beauty and the challenges of caregiving—the meaningful moments of connection, as well as the heartbreak of seeing gaps in the system. Too often, care felt rushed, understaffed, and impersonal. She came to believe that families, and the people they love, deserved better.

That belief led Amanda to create Anne’s Harbor, a place named in her mother’s honor and built on the idea that care should feel like home: safe, calm, and deeply personal.

Amanda’s vision is to provide individualized, compassionate care where every resident is truly known and valued. Just as importantly, she wants to create an environment where caregivers feel supported and empowered, because she believes that genuine, attentive care flourishes when the people providing it are cared for, too.
